UPCOMING LOCAL EVENTS

Traditional Irish Music Session led by Denis
Tuesday 4th April @7.30pm in the Brook pub, Portrane

Slow Sessions in Donabate Parish Hall led by Erin (1st and 3rd Friday of each month) – members only

Our Easter Grupai Grúpaí Cheoil will be held on Friday 24th March in the Parish Hall and will begin at the EARLIER TIME of 7PM to facilitate a Slow session for our new younger Members.

If you are a parent of a Junior Member and would like to be added to the Junior Session What’s app group please leave your details with Erin after the session on the 24th. Times for the session are as follows:
7pm – 7.45pm – Special Easter Junior SLOW Session.
7.45pm – 8.30pm – Junior Mixed Tempo
8 30pm – 8.45pm- – Adult Slow Tempo
8 45pm – 9.15pm – Adult Fast Tempo

These sessions will provide the opportunity for our students and members to play together familiar tunes at a tempo that suits all. To cover the expenses, we will charge €5 per household.

LAUNCH OF BLEEDING PIG CULTURAL FESTIVAL – THURSDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER , THE BROOK , PORTRANE

Our own Eamonn Galldubh on uilleann pipes along with Eoghan Scott {vocals and guitar] and Daire Bracken {fiddle] will be headlining the launch of the Bleeding Pig Cultural Festival at 9pm on Thursday the 8th of September in the Brook Pub, Portrane. A second group including members of Leithinis will also perform. This promises to be a great night of Tradtional Irish Music , free of charge open to all and not to be missed.

MOL AN OIGE SATURDAY 17TH SEPTEMBER 2022 AT 1PM

This was a fabulous opportunity for teenagers and younger to perform individually or in groups. Our Junior members of Leithinis did a marvellous job ! Many thanks also to Erin, Catherine and Maeliosa . See some of the wonderful perfomances below:
